Me to @EmilyGlazer @wsj “When you get to lofty positions like being CEO and having the responsibility to lead, whatever the role is, you’ve got to basically know I’m going to get tested here, or maybe some of my constituents won’t like what I have to say.”

Politics was never meant to be about serving those with money but providing opportunities for all , esp the underserved, and creating a society based on values and morality, not who has the most money .
Lets remove money from politics. Once and for all.

Now is a time for boardrooms to show leadership especially since Washington is unlikely to police itself: “This time, corporate America can make a powerful statement not with money, but without it.” A great moment to take money out of politics and restore demography.

After Trump’s comments following a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville in 2017, I called Jared and told him: you are going to lose the entire CEO community. Everyone including me stepped away from the manufacturing council and didn’t work with him any more.

It’s been gratifying to see CEOs including long serving ones who typically don’t pick sides step up and choose America and her values. @GlendaKorporaal @jeffsonnenfeld

We are witnessing one of the darkest days in American history.

The President must immediately condemn the attempted coup at the U.S. Capitol and deploy the National Guard to keep Members of Congress safe and allow a peaceful transition of power.

Today's scenes at the U.S. Capitol are an attack on democracy and not who we are as a country.

Before all else, we are Americans. The challenges we face require us to come together, urgently.

To those leaders upholding their oath and our nation's ideals — we stand with you.

Those who choose to continue to support his dangerous gambit by objecting to the results of a legitimate, democratic election will forever be seen as being complicit in an unprecedented attack against our democracy.

Watching this on TV from Australia evokes memories of my lived experiences in emerging economies with coups , brawls in parliament and street violence . The US is our beacon for freedom and democratic principles . It is tragic to see what’s happening now - fully support the BRT

The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything - I trust that elected officials will find the inner strength to meet this moment and disable the great enabler

We are seeing images that I never imagined we would see in this country-in some other capital yes, but not here. No one in the world is likely to see, respect, fear, or depend on us in the same way again. If the post-American era has a start date, it is almost certainly today.

Today’s mob violence at the Capitol is the culmination of Trump’s sustained assault on American democracy. The President should call on the mob he incited to disperse and go home. And Trump’s supporters in the GOP and the media should reflect on what they have enabled.

Amazing news. A president of the United States encouraging his supporters to storm the Capital armed makes you get tears in your eyes. So sad to see this happening in a country we all looked up to. Work to do for all of us to heal fast.

The intersection of the sciences with digital has arrived . Digital is not just convenience and productivity . It is revolutionizing factories and research . Our kids need D-STEM skills like @iamwill and @deankamen1 are pioneering with FIRST Robotics. Or @IBM is with P-Tech .

China’s GDP in 1980 was $200 B , US was $3 Trillion , with a negligible trade deficit.
2019 ? China $14.4 T , US $21.4 T and a trade deficit of $350 B. And China holds $1.3 Trillion in US bonds .
The trade war with China will not disappear with President Trump. Its tone will.

“How can you argue about helping people who have been left behind by the economy that has allowed the rich to get richer and people who avoid tax? That mantra is not just Elizabeth Warren’s. That is at the centre of the Democratic party.” - @LiverisAndrew

Goodbye 2020 .What of 2021 ? More of the pandemic, a US China reset , tech companies dominating the business agenda , a Middle East peace agreement, a strengthening global economy based on green stimulus . And mountains of public debt . A transition to a new normal .
