China's scientific research ship Tansuo-2, the 2nd mother ship of China's new deep-sea manned submersible #Fendouzhe, returned to port in Sanya, Hainan Province on Monday.
Fendouzhe set a national record by diving to a depth of 10,909 meters in the Mariana Trench on Nov. 10.
The “ #Fendouzhe”, or “Striver”, descended more than 10,000 meters (about 33,000 feet) into the #MarianaTrench in the western #PacificOcean with three researchers on board.
The core parts of #China's new deep-sea manned submersible #Fendouzhe, or "Striver", have successfully undergone non-destructive testing (NDT) following its dives to the bottom of the Mariana Trench.
