Happy Birthday! Today the public Internet is 15 years old

Today the Internet is 15 years old. On the 30th April 1993 the world wide web is available to the public users. In the middle of these years was a big touch of bottom, but since the great invention “Web 2.0″ the world wide web has been even more popular.

“Today, the Web is no longer just an information platform, but an interactive Internet”, says Prof. Scheer. “It is a place where everyone publish and contacts – and cost very low.”

Inventor of the Web is Tim Berners-Lee, started the project as a new Information System 1989 at the European nuclear research center CERN. The idea was originally to the flood of information in complex scientific projects to make more manageable.
