Allvoices.com is a website you can see all the current news on the world. This is the first open media site where anyone can report from anywhere.
Take a look at the collection of current world events.
I think this website is a great idea, because I have never seen before a website like this in the news and current events niche.
News reported by contributors like you and me: A person can report news on allvoices from their cell phone with SMS or via the Web site, by clicking on “Report Your News”. A news event can be started with a title, summary, location and category. A person can report news by uploading an image or video or just as simply as writing an article on allvoices

It is a great concept, but you run into the same problem that wikipedia ran into. The sources have no definitive credibility and it won’t be long before some idiot makes something up and it causes a controversy.

It’s a nice idea but I can see it easily being ruined by spammers. Will they make everyone who classes as a reported verify their information and credentials

Honestly, the site is very good but we all are saturated of really bad news. I know there are not many good ones but at least not having the bad as the bread of everyday.
